Young Warriors secured their first win in the Cyclones Summer Basketball League in Liberta on Saturday afternoon.
Playing in the lone Under-16 Division, Young Warriors defeated Mean Machine 12-9.
Jannique Blackstock led the victors with eight points and 10 steals while Kai Joseph netted nine points for Mean Machine.
Meanwhile, in the Under-13 category, Lady Titans and Golden Eagles both secured their second wins of the tournament.
Lady Titans edged out Dream Team 11-8 with Shakorah Prince leading the charge with nine points.
Tiquesha Charles was the leading scorer for Dream Team with six points.
Golden Eagles trounced Young Ballers 4-0 with Keturah Christmas netting all four points.
Games will continue on Saturday 29th June at 4 pm as Black Lightning will play Golden Eagles. Black Hawks will face off versus Lady Titans at 4:40 pm, while at 5:25 pm Dream Team will battle Young Ballers. (Carlena Knight)
