Young Lions remain on top, Tamo stun Sea View Farm

Young Lions FC remain on top of the Antigua and Barbuda Football Association (ABBA) Zone 2 Division 2 standings after their latest win on Tuesday afternoon over Earthquakes.

The 2-1 victory moves them onto 37 points, edging out second-place JSC Progressors with a better goal difference of plus 28 to their plus 16.

Berisford Rodgers (18th) and Nicolas Cayse (44th) were the goal scorers for the victors, while Arnold Joseph (70th) got one back for Earthquakes.

Earthquakes with this loss slipped to 6th with 26 points.

Progressors, who were also in action that day, edged out Bailey’s Jewelers Young Warriors 1-0.

Jamie Harris scored the lone goal.

FLOW Bethesda “Bald Eagles” joined Progressors in the winners’ circle after edging out Belmont FC 3-2.

Jaheel Wyre (38th), Chunsea Martin (46th) and Jaheel Goodwin (68th) all found the back of the net for the victors to move them onto 29 points in the 4th position.

Belmont are in the 12th spot with 12 points.

In the other matches played that day, Bassa trounced CPTSA Wings 4-1, while Tamo FC stunned Sea View Farm beating them 2-1.

Kadeam Spencer recorded a brace for Bassa with assistance from teammates Rakeam Isaac and Kengie Barton who also hit home.

They are now 9th with 16 points while Wings slipped to 11th with 14 points.

Tamo Allen and Dariel Samuel were the goal-scorers for the victorious Tamo FC team, which moved them to 8th with 24 points.

Sea View Farm on the other hand, dropped to 7th with 25.
