Wanted schoolboy in police custody

KINGSTON, Jamaica, Apr 4, CMC – Relatives of an 11-year-old schoolboy being sought by police in connection with the murder of another student, have turned him over the law enforcement authorities.
The child was taken to the Wait-A-Bit Police Station by family members and Acting Commanding Officer for the Trelawny Police, Deputy Superintendent Carlos Russell, said the child will be interviewed.
Police said that 14-year-old Orange Johnson, of Lowe River Primary and Junior High School died from chop wounds allegedly inflicted on him by the 11-year-old following a heated argument which escalated into a fight.
Police said that a machete was used to inflict the deadly chop wounds to the head of the 14-year-old, who collapsed and died at the root of a banana tree.
