Wadadli Elite and Pointville Ballers get Division Three wins in basketball

In what could be likened to a civil war in sports, Wadadli Elite’s first team inflicted a severe 59 points beating on their counterparts Wadadli Elite 2, winning 108-49 when they clashed at the JSC basketball court on in the basketball association’s Division Three on Wednesday.

Playing off the bench, T-Shawn Lewis led the way for Elite 1 with 28 points and 13 rebounds. He was assisted by Rashaun Harry with 27 points and nine rebounds. Shalom Bloodman and Najae George were also on their game for the winners with 15 and 11 points each.

In a losing effort, Tamraj Stewart sank 10 points in a losing cause for Elite 2.

In the other Division Three game contested Wednesday, Pointville Ballers edged JJ United 55-46. Kyle Alexander led the charge for the victors with 21 points and 10 rebounds with Trey Beazer adding 19 points and 13 rebounds. Sylvester Thomas, in a losing effort, hit 12 points and nine rebounds.
