Ya So So Bakery St Paul’s and Stingray City/Nature Tours Seatons have both booked spots in the finals of the Antigua Commercial Bank (ACB)/Richie Richardson Limited Overs Cricket Competition when they won their semi-finals match-ups held over the weekend.
St Paul’s defeated Pigotts by 16 runs in their contest on Sunday.
Batting first, St Paul’s made 168 for eight with Keithly Charles top-scoring with 40, while Loy Weste made 24 not out. R Browne added 25 runs to St Paul’s total.
Bowling for Pigotts, Bradley Basseau took two wickets for 19 runs, Craig Renford had two for 32 and Kerry “Arab” Skepple snatched two for 39.
Pigotts in reply, made 152 all out with Ajani Frederick hitting 59 and Dwayne Dindial contributing 28.
Bowling for St Paul’s, Robin Bascus Jr took four wickets for 17 runs and Vaughn Walsh picked up two for 30.
In the other semi-finals contest, Seatons defeated Carnival Gardens Strikers by six wickets.
Batting first, Strikers were all out for 82 with their best effort coming from Frederick Floyd who made 13.
Bowling for Seatons, Zavier Freeland bagged four for 26, Selvyn Hobson had two for eight, Goldwyn Prince snatched two for 14 and Tarik Prince claimed two for 33.
Seatons, in reply, raced to 83 for four with Clarence Frederick Jr scoring having a top knock of 37.
Strikers’ Geetesh Harrilall took two for 23.
The final of the competition is tentatively set for March 24.
