Rotary recycling project hits 3 million mark

ST JOHN’S, Antigua- The Rotary Club of Antigua Sundown says its eight-year-old recycling plant at Powells has had a major effect on reducing waste going to the landfill.

Rotarian, Dr Ian Walwyn told Have Your Say last night that over three million pounds of waste has been recycled at the facility.

Plastic, aluminum cans, cardboard and scrap metal are recycled at the plant.

Dr Walwyn says he wants people to change the way they think about recycling.
