St. John’s Antigua- Rex Resorts and National Parks are the joint leaders in Zone 1 of the Cool & Smooth/Ministry of Sports Business League Football Competition with seven points each after three rounds of matches.
Kennedy’s Blue Diamonds and AS Bryden, meanwhile, sit atop the leadership board in Zone 2 with eight points each after four rounds of matches.
Rex Resorts have won two matches and drawn one in their three matches so far. They scored six goals and have two scored against them.
National Parks also played three matches, winning two and drawing one. They scored four times and were scored upon four times as well.
Public Works Department hold on to the second spot with six points. They are followed by Mount St John’s Medical Centre, Galley Bay and West Indies Oil, who are all on three points, while APUA Tel.com hold down the cellar position with a point.
In Zone 2, Kennedy’s won two of their four matches played and drew two. They scored nine goals and had five scored against them.
AS Bryden also won two of their four matches and drew a couple. They scored eight goals and had three scored against them.
APUA Water and Sandals hold on to the second spot in Zone 2 with four points each. They are followed by Sugar Ridge on two points and Immigration in the cellar position with a point.
The competition continues this Saturday. In Zone 1, Rex Resorts will take on PWD at 2 pm, WIOC battle Galley Bay at 3 pm, and National Parks face MSJMC at 4 pm at Grammar School Ground. APUA Tel.com get a bye.
In Zone 2, Sandals contest Kennedy’s at Radio Range at 3 pm, Sugar Ridge meet Immigration at 4 pm and AS Bryden completes the day versus APUA Water at 5 pm.
