Anthony Jamual Kareem Govia, also known as “Thug Life” is wanted by police in connection with last Saturday’s robbery at Carlisle Bay Hotel on Old Road.
The police issued a statement last night, indicating that the Freemans Village man is considered “heavily armed” and “extremely dangerous” hence anyone who sees him is urged to contact the Rapid Response Unit at 764-2348 or 464-3938 or to call 911.
The 31-year-old is dark in complexion, slimly built and six feet four inches tall.
In addition to issuing the wanted bulletin, the police are also appealing for him to surrender at any police station with his attorney or any family member immediately.
Govia has not been seen since at his home since the incident, well-placed sources said last night.
But while he is on the run, his friend, who works at Carlisle Bay Hotel, is likely to be charged as investigations have linked her to the crime as well. She was detained on Wednesday but was released that day pending further investigations, according to police spokesman Inspector Lester Bagot.
However, a police source said the woman has since been taken in for questioning again.
