Police intercept drugs at airport

The police have confirmed that four- and three-quarter pounds of cannabis were found in a box at the VC Bird International Airport on Wednesday night.

According to the police, officers from the Narcotics Department and K.9 Unit were conducting a routine check at the airport, and found a cardboard box containing several sealed packages with the contraband.

The clear packages were said to be further concealed within items of clothing.
