AUA Cool & Smooth PMS made light work of VIP Squad to win by 41 runs when they clashed in the lone match of the LL Supply Ltd, IBSC Tape Ball T20 Classic played on Monday.
Opting to bat after winning the toss, PMS reached 111 before they were all out in 19.3 overs. The total included 48 extras. Leon Carmichael was the top batsman with 17 runs while Derrick Benta chipped in 12 runs.
Shaquan Reifer was the pick of the bowlers for VIP Squad as he claimed three wickets for nine runs from three overs.
Osafa Bourne bagged two wickets for 22 runs in four overs.
In reply, VIP could only get to 70 all out in 12.5 overs. Kofi James top-scored with 14 runs and Reifer added 13 to the total.
For the victors, Kenny Benjamin snatched four wickets for 25 runs in four overs, Terrance Thompson claimed three for 27 from four overs and Bertram Miller bagged two wickets for 11 runs in 2.5 overs.
The competition continues on Sunday when, in Potters, Aunty Sue’s Kitchen Herberts United play Sousay Doux at 10:00 a.m. and Rackaman Construction Strictly Business take on All Stars at 1:00 p.m.
At Powells, Brysons Shipping & Insurance Bullets face Pelican Safari VIP Squad at 10:00 a.m., AUA Cool & Smooth PMS play Desi Boys at 1:00 p.m. and ACB Warriors take on Flyers at 4:00 p.m.
Meanwhile at AGS, Thunder Kings take on Plumbing Electrical Ltd. Island Boys at 10:00 a.m. and Dredgers face Buckleys 3J’s at 1:00 p.m.
