Outlaws remain winless, Ottos trounce Police

Idea Media Outlaws remain one of two teams who have yet to win a match this season in the Antigua and Barbuda Basketball Association Division One league.

Outlaws, who recorded a loss last Thursday to Potters Steelers, suffered the same fate two days later at JSC. falling this time to former champions, Flyers Basketball 93-61.

Overseas-based player, Esteban Martinez led the men in orange with a game high 38 points and eight rebounds.

He was assisted by national players — Sharife Sergeant who made 16 and grabbed nine rebounds –and Kwame Brathwaite who netted 11 and snatched nine rebounds.

Eddy Peillon, another overseas-based player, chipped in sinking 11 and grabbing nine rebounds.

Ishaan Peets was the leading scorer for Outlaws, banking 15, while teammate Darren Jeanville contributed netting 12.

Ottos Full Throttle joined Flyers in the winner’s circle on Saturday night after defeating Police Vertex 79-62.

Warren Bogle led his team to victory with 18 points and six rebounds, while teammate Akeem “Chemist” Davis chipped in netting 17, grabbing 16 rebounds and making five steals. Lincoln Weekes also got in on the action scoring 17, while Kavari Francis assisted with 14 points, 19 rebounds and five steals.
