Fearless Crew remain undefeated, United record first win

The undefeated run of Caribbean Pharmaceuticals and Supplies Fearless Crew 1, continued on Wednesday night with their latest win over Bolans Beach Boys, 74-41, at JSC.

The team, hailing from the Villa and Point community, moved to 5-0 in Division 2 of the State Insurance Antigua and Barbuda Basketball Association (ABBA) league.

Jemanda Richards led the newly promoted team with 18 points and 12 rebounds while teammate Kim Casey chipped in sinking 13 points and six rebounds.

Joel “Ziggy” Christian also got in on the action netting 11 points for the victors.

Tyndale Telemaque was the lone scorer in double figures for the Beach Boys, recording 16 points. He also had an additional six rebounds.

A-Mobile Young Rivals, however, snapped the chances of Fearless Crew 2 recording their first win by trouncing them 70-57.

The Division 3 encounter saw Jeffrey George lead the way with 20 points, 15 rebounds, five steals and four block shots.

He was assisted by Tahj Kirby who had 19 points, 12 rebounds, six assists and six blocks, and Dyllan Joseph who sank 17, grabbed 17, and recorded five steals.

Fearless’ Delon Foster had 14 points and 19 rebounds, while teammate Jonathan Pierre-Louis contributed scoring 14 and snatching 10 rebounds.

Meanwhile at Ottos, JJ United recorded their first win, edging out Ottos Vikings 49-43.

Neville Chambers and John Samuel both netted nine points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the victors, while Adrian Carnegie was the leading scorer for Vikings with 17 points and 10 rebounds.

Shamar Joseph, also of Vikings, had 10 points, six rebounds and six steals.

Curtain Bluff Old Road Daggers were also victorious that night, defeating F and G Trading Cuties Ovals Ojays II 66-59.

Daggers’ Ariel Quallis led all scorers with 25 points, 17 rebounds, seven steals and five assists.

He was assisted by Kevin Cornwall who had 24 points and 10 rebounds.

Ovals’ Danny Perez had 19 points, Curl Simon, 16 points, and Daniel Perez 11.

Games will continue on Saturday night at JSC in Division 1 starting at 6:45 as Flyers Basketball will play Idea Media Outlaws while, at 8:30, Ottos Full Throttle will face Police Vertex.
