Antigua & Barbuda Cycling Association (ABCA) will be hosting its 2010 Scrubbo Auto Repairs Individual Time Trial on Sunday.
The event is slated to start at 3 p at Police Recreation Grounds (PRG) and will take riders up Factory Road, through Parham Village to Crabb’s Peninsular to the turn point, and back to PRG.
The Scrubbo Auto Repairs Individual Time Trial is rapidly becoming one of the island’s popular races amongst the cyclists whilst attracting a huge fan base.
Robert Marsh continues to dominate these events after winning the 2009 instalment in a record-breaking time of 31:50.
However, Jyme Bridges, Marvin Spencer and Dale Richardson continue to follow closely in his shadow.
The B-Class riders will compete on the same distance route as the A-Class where Timothy Thomas is the favourite for time trial events. Vast improvement, though, has been shown by several riders over the last few races which will make the B-Class an event to watch.
The Female Class could also prove interesting with the return of Tamiko Butler. Butler won all the races she competed in this year but a strong Lindsay Duffy continues to close the gap on her times.
Good showings are also expected from Dorothy Graham and Keitha Mannix as well.
