Cutting Edge on top after latest win in Female football

Cutting Edge FA moved to the top of the seven-team standings in the Antigua and Barbuda Football Association Female league.

Playing last Friday at the ABFA Technical Centre, Cutting Edge defeated Wadadli United 2-0 in the first match of the double header evening.

Demica Samuel (20th) and Marlena Lesniowski (38th) were the goal-scorers for the top team who now moved to nine points edging out The Source Tigress with a better goal average of three to their two.

United on the other hand slipped to 5th with three points.

Trendsetters and Players Fort Road played to a one-all draw with the equalizer coming from Kitana Hughes in minute 30.

Nicola Stewart drew first blood for Trendsetters in the 9th minute.

Trendsetters are now 6th with one point, while Fort Road are 4th with four points.

Also, that day in Division Two Zone Two action, Young Lions defeated Sea View Farm FC 2-0 to move to the top of the standings with 34 points. They edge out JSC Progressors with a better goal difference of plus 27 to Progressors’ plus 15.
