Anjo Wholesale suffer second loss

Fitzroy’s Rewinding Transformers handed Anjo Wholesale their second loss of the season on Wednesday night, edging them out 52-46 in the feature encounter at the YMCA Sports Complex.

Eric Joseph led the charge for the victors with 17 points, while teammate N’kenge “Beef” Drew sank 11.

Decosta Walbrook had 17 points for Anjo with assistance from Steven Matthew who netted 13.

With this win, Transformers moved to a 6-1 record.

Former champions, Sandals, trounced APUA Water 83-47 with Kebo Orford recording a game-high 24 points.

He was assisted by Devorn Benjamin and Keroi “Dragon” Lee who made 14 and 12 points, respectively.

Raviel Burton and Willis Drew also got in on the action, banking 11 and 10 points, respectively, for Sandals.

Water’s Michael Jeffers was the leading scorer with 20 points, while teammate Toriano Matthew chipped in, sinking 14.

In the other match played that night, Pointe FM edged out Dixie in overtime, winning 63-59.

Deandris Connell netted 15 for the victors, while teammates Kwame Brathwaite and Felix Hamilton scored 14 and 11.

Dixie’s George Francis and Kareem Blair had 14 and 13 points in a losing effort.

Games will continue tonight at the JSC Sports Complex starting at 6:30, as Cleaners will play Area 51 Invaders while, at 7:30, Galley Bay will face Pointe FM.

In the feature encounter at 8:30, Blue Waters will battle APUA Water.
