The Inet International Pairs Golf Tournament has the full backing of the Antigua & Barbuda Golf Association (ABGA).

This is according to the association’s Secretary, Mitzie Buckley, who endorsed the event during its launch at the Cedar Valley Golf Course on Tuesday.

“The Antigua & Barbuda Golf Association (ABGA), is very happy to endorse the second annual Inet International Pairs tournament hosted by Zorol Barthley and his hard-working team from the Golf Experience Group and we wish them the best of luck for 2010.

“We also look forward to seeing the celebrity pairing and would like everyone to know that the Antigua & Barbuda Golf Association is very pleased that we have this calibre of tournament that we can endorse in addition to our Antigua & Barbuda Golf Open which is also at a very high level so it’s good to see some great tournaments coming up that would definitely do a major part in attracting golf players and participants to the game,” she said.

The 2010 edition of the event will tee off on September 11 and will see some of the nation’s top golfing pairs vying for the right to represent Antigua & Barbuda at the International Pairs World Finals to be held at the Loch Lomond Golf Course in Scotland from October 6-8.

The winners will be awarded an all expenses paid trip to the event.
