Chasers keep their dream alive, Rebels rough up Daggers in local basketball

Dream Chasers came out on top of an exciting and closely contested Division Two clash in the Antigua and Barbuda Basketball Association (ABBA) competition on Monday night, as they continue to push for promotion from Division Three. 

Braulio Estradaled the charge for Dream Chasers, sinking a game-high 41 points and grabbing nine rebounds in the 86-84 victory. He was assisted by Jose Narterawith 14 points and 14 rebounds while Jesus Lopezadded 10 points and five rebounds to the winning effort also.

Tamroy Stewartwas best on show for Eye Mobile Vision Care sponsored Wadadli Elite with 27 points and 18 rebounds. He was supported by Ginobili Cornwallwho picked up 19 points and 11 rebounds with Shamie Omardand Corey Winterhad 13 and 10 points each. Omard also had 11 rebounds while Winter snatched 10 rebounds. 

Meanwhile, in Division Two, Rebels had the better of Old Road Daggers by a 57-53 margin. Bruce White led the way with 19 points and nine rebounds. Kevin Cornwall and Craig Thomas assisted with 13 and 11 points respectively, while Thomas also grabbed 11 rebounds. 

Ariel Qualliswas the only scorer of note for Daggers with 20 points and 12 rebounds.
