UK Invasion Party

Party with the Grown & Sexy at Abracadbra’s tonight. Dress code is red, white and blue – the colours of the Union Jack. $30 gets you in to hear a variety of old school grooves with some new in the mix. A selection of UK DJs will be on hand for the over 30 crowd.

Kes in Town

Kes the band was here last Carnival for the LIAT Melting Pot concert.

 

See ‘Wotless’ singer Kes live at the Bryson’s Complex, Friars Hill Road tomorrow night. The band will be performing at Scorch Mas’ Troupe’s Soka Fete-ish event along with Gregors of “Naughty or Nice” fame, Drastic, TKO, Ricardo Drue, Tian Winter and Iconic, CP and Taxik.

Mixing the tunes for the night will be DJs Jime and Who. Tickets are $50 in advance (and can be purchased at Scorch Mas Camp, Xtreme Fitness and Lipstick) and $60 at the door. VIP tickets, which include drinks and access to the VIP area, are $100 in advance and $120 at the door.

Action starts at 9 pm.

Scorch is one of the new mas’ troups on the scene, launched May 5 at Sugar ridge.

 

Beach & Bonfire Party

Party again with the Grown & Sexy. The action moves to Gibson’s Beach Bar at Crab Hill for DJ Misbehaviour’s Birthday celebration. From 2 pm until, there’ll be music, food, drinks, and fun.

For the Fathers

Calypso lovers will love this one. Over 15 calypsonians, including Destroyer Senior, Calypso Joe, Negro Man, King Zacari, Squilly and many more will take to the stage at The Palms Restaurant. $20 at the door. Showtime is 7 pm. Surprises for fathers in store.
