Party with Beautiful People
Beautiful People’s Mas Camp is the place to be tonight and every Friday leading up to Carnival for the after-work jam called “XANADU,” featuring TKO formerly Tonik Band with Laurena Davis and Elite Sound with DJ’s Dymond and Biggy. Appearances by Carnival queen delegates, Ricardo Drue, Gregors, Lion King, Hamster, New Alpha and a surprise. Starts off around 7 and goes down until midnight. Admission is free.

Patrice Roberts. Kerwin Du Bois. Edwin Yearwood. El A Kru. Taxik. They’re just a few of the soca stars lined up to grace the stage for Girl Power at Miller’s By the Sea tomorrow night. Also performing are Burning Flames and Jashan and Chezekake Factory. The event’s to be hosted by Ibis, with music by DJ Jime. Tickets on sale at The Source.

Cocktails and Show
Friends of MSJMC along with Caribbean Superstation present Cocktails & Show with Caribbean comedian Nickki Crosby tomorrow at the Sandals Grande Resort & Spa. Cocktails will be served from 7:30 pm and the show begins at 8:30 pm. Cash bar available. Proceeds in aid of the ongoing fund-raiser for the purchase of a vascular ultrasound machine for MSJMC. Tickets can obtained from members as well as at Athlete’s Foot in Heritage Quay.

Music for Life
Arturo Tappin, one the Caribbean’s noted saxophone players, will be headlining a fundraiser entitled “Music For Life” tomorrow, June 2, at Sugar Ridge. The concert is a fundraiser for Island Academy’s scholarship programme. “Music For Life” will showcase the best of Caribbean music with timeless rhythms and will also feature pannist Lacu Samuel and the Kuttin Edge Band, Itchy Feet and the musical talent of the students of Island Academy. Showtime is 7:30. General admission is $50 and $150 for VIP admission. Tickets are available at Xtreme Health & Fitness, The Larder and Sugar Ridge.
