Jaycees Finals

Queens of the region converge at the Antigua Recreation Grounds tonight for the last leg of their quest to obtain the Jaycees Caribbean Crown. The show begins at 8 pm sharp.

ICE Fete

It’s the soca event before the grand Carnival soca finale tomorrow – the Insane Cooler Experience or ICE Fete is set for Miller’s By the Sea tonight, featuring finalists Claudette “CP” Peters, Super Mario, Ricardo Drue and other surprises. Tickets are limited because space is limited, so get them ASAP… Action begins at 10 PM.

Soca Monarch Competition

All roads lead to Antigua Recreation Grounds for the Soca Monarch Competition, where 20 finalists will compete for the crown in the groovy and jumpy categories. Performers, in order, are in groovy: Dansk, Blade, Ricardo Drue, Claudette Peters, Young Destroyer, Tian, Laurena, Janine, De Lyricsman, and Kenne Blessin.  In the Jumpy category: De Lyricsman, Shanie, Tian, Natural Rampler, Claudette Peters, Ricardo Drue, Super Mario, King Sonic, Jashan Hughes and reigning party monarch Hard Knaxx.

Calypso Show

Ten competitors, one crown. Of Calypso Jim, King Fiah, Princess Thalia, Queen Gee Bee, Queen Singing Althea, Richie Francis, Scorpion, Young Destroyer and Zacari, who will dethrone De Bear? Come and see, 8 pm at Antigua Recreation Grounds.

Gospel Fest

While Carnival action will be in full swing at the ARG, Christians will converge at Parham Seventh Day Adventist Church for a Gospel Fest. It promises to be explosive and dynamic with a line-up including the Liberta Praise Team, Melodies of the Heart – a young group out of the church, Camille Joseph and a surprise guest. Live band music. The praising begins 7:30 pm.
