Power Rumble

This fete gets bigger each year. APUA boasts a star-studded line-up for tonight with the likes of Destra Garcia, Iwer George, TC Shal Marshall, Denise Belfon, Claudette Peters and Taxik, Tian Winter and Iconic Band, 3 Cylinder, Revo and lots more. It’s happening at Police Recreation Grounds from 9 pm. Admission at the gate is $30.

 

Dancing for his Glory

Come on out and see Christian Assembly Ministries come alive tonight, July 20and Saturday, July 21 with free nights of dance. Come and be ministered to by Antigua’s prophetic dancers. Special guest appearance Minister JC Jude of HeInME Dance Ministries from Barbados. Also be a part of the dance workshop with Minister IC Jude on July 21 at 10 am, only EC $15 per person. Red Eye Fete

For Bunji and Fay Ann fans, all roads will lead to Antigua Recreation Grounds for Red Eye the Breakfast Fete. The soca power couple headline a strong cast of regional and local performers, including Skinny Fabulous, Swappi, Red Hot Flames, CP & Taxik, Tizzy and El A Kru, Jashan and Chezekake Factory and Ricardo Drue. DJ Jime will be mixing between performances. This event will be hosted by JW, part of the duo of Palance fame. Admission is $50 at the gate.

 

Colours Fete

Rotary’s Colours Fete is being held at Clouds at Halcyon under an Oriental theme.  For $150, eat and drink all you want. Music by Claudette Peters and Taxik. DJ Nez will also be in the house. Tickets available from any member of The Rotary Club. Call 764-0592 for more information. All proceeds go to charity.

Calypso Quarterfinals

Eighteen calypso semi-finalists will, on Sunday, compete for a spot in the Wadadli Beer Calypso Monarch Finals. The next cut is happening at Paradise Lawn, beginning at 8 pm. Of Calypso Jim, De Pan Man, Dr Solo, Faithful, Kaseba, Kimmie, King Bandit, King Fiah, Lord Satalyte, Mighty Yankee, Princess Thalia, Queen Gee Bee, Queen Singing Athea, Redding, Richie Francis, Scorpion, Young Destroyer and King Zacari – who will be left standing? Admission is $20. The Wadadli Beer Calypso Monarch Competition is set for Sunday August 5.
