St. John’s Antigua- A flash flood watch is still in effect for the country as forecasts of continued inclement weather force the postponement of a major show scheduled for this evening.

The Meteorological Office says a persistent trough is affecting the eastern Caribbean.

However Forecaster Cecil Matthews says low hanging Sahara dust in the Caribbean Sea is keeping most of the showers south of Antigua and Barbuda.

Matthews adds that it’s too early to say how many inches of rain might fall today, but three inches of rainfall was recorded at the airport yesterday.
