Upsetters Int’l start three-hand domino series

16th August 2012, St. John’s Antigua- Upsetters International Domino Club of Antigua & Barbuda started the second leg of the 2012 Three-hand Domino Triangular series here in Antigua in winning mode.

In the opening Test match played on Saturday at the old Ottos school building on Tuesday night, Upsetters, aided by Glenroy “Chinese” Braithwaite who had a perfect game of three sixes for 18 points, chalked up 79 points.

Intime of Guyana scored 68 points for second place with Leathta Solomon top-scoring with 14 points.

Barbados Union of Teachers (BUT) had to settle for third spot with 66 points. Captain Ian Forde was their top scorer with 14 points.

The second Test match was scheduled for last night.

At the end of the five Test match series, the team with the most overall points wins.

BUT won the first leg of this three-hand series in Guyana. The third and final leg will be played in Barbados later this year.

The opening ceremony was held on Saturday evening after which there was a pull-o-rama competition.

The Titan Group is sponsoring this event.

The series started in Guyana in 2001 and with the exception of 2007 for the hosting of the Domino World Championship, this is the eleventh year.

Upsetters have won four times and Intime of Guyana, twice.
