ST JOHN’S, Antigua – Two more local cricket officials from Antigua & Barbuda Cricket Umpires Association are now fully qualified after they successfully passed the West Indies Cricket Umpires Association (WICUA) oral and practical examinations.

The local association has extended congratulations to Felix Phillip and Felix Auguste on their achievements.

Two other local umpires were also successful in the Leeward Islands Cricket Umpires Association preliminary examination. They are Kester Gibbs and Anderson Andrew.

Gibbs also passed the WICUA final written examination and is just one step away from becoming fully qualified.

Phillip and Auguste now join the long list of fully qualified umpires in Antigua & Barbuda.

Some of these include senior umpire Clancy Mack, the president of the local umpires’ association, James Sun, Alvin James-Knight, Andrew Greaves, Austin Christopher, Bernard Joseph, Dirk Schouten, Kenrick Lawrence, and Ivor Lewis, all of whom are active.

There are also a number of other fully qualified umpires who are not active including Patrick Whyte, the former Director of Sports, Walston Bowen, Hudson Knight and Vanroy Burnes, just a few to mention.
