St. John’s Antigua- Antigua & Barbuda Cycling Association will host its 13th race for the 2012 cycling season on Sunday, July 15, before taking a break for the festival season.
The popular annual Billy’s Food Mart Circuit Race sponsored by Food Brokerage Services will start at 3 pm at the top of Friars Hill and proceed unto Langford’s Road, left unto Blue Waters main road, along Marble Hill Road, left on the Oil Refinery bypass, and back unto Friars Hill road for 12 laps.
Jyme Bridges is the reigning champion and is expected to defend his title.
Strong competition may come from National Sportsman Robert Marsh, Marvin Spencer who can never be counted out of a race, top triathlete Andre Simon, Omari King, Brian Lyn, Dale Richardson, Clint Henry, and Neil Lloyd, while B-Class will display the battle of Ashley Rhoades, Tesheed Gordon, Mervin Gore, Walton Francis and Ashfield Vigo.
Females will not be represented by National Sportswoman Tamiko Butler as she off-island on a three-week stint of racing in Vancouver, Canada.
However, the females will be still represented by the talents of Lindsay Duffy and Kevinia Francis.
