August 14, 2012, St John’s Antigua – The results of this year’s May/June CSEC and CAPE examinations are to be made public on Thursday.
Examinations officer, Myrick Smith, says the authorities finished compiling the results on Tuesday.
He says the identity of the top student, school and overall percentage of passes will be disclosed at Thursday’ press conference.
However, OBSERVER Media has already learned the top student, whose name has not been disclosed, secured 16 grade one passes.
Already, the CXC board has said this year’s regional passes in CSEC Mathematics have dipped by two percent to 33 per cent.
The acceptable grades include passes with grades one, two and three.
Meanwhile, Smith said his office now has electronic results for the CCSLC exams, taken by third form students.
According to the CXC website, the CCSLC results should be available online at midnight Wednesday.
