ST JOHN’S, Antigua – Three youth, two juveniles and one adult, have been charged with unlawful sexual intercourse with a 14-year-old girl whom they allegedly forced into a house and raped on April 1.
The trio, whose names can not be publicised in accordance with the Sexual Offences Act, is set to appear before a magistrate today on the joint allegation.
Reports indicate the schoolgirl went to a school function on the night of the incident and while she was on the way home, the group allegedly forced her into the house and committed the act.
The matter was reported to police and a medical examination had to be done as part of the probe.
Initial reports indicated five males were allegedly involved in the execution of the crime but investigations ruled out two of them.
Of those charged two are 17 years old while the third accused is 19 years old.
The accused and their alleged victim are known to each other since they attend the same education institution.
