Dear Editor
Recently Mount St John’s Medical Centre has been getting blows from all sides pertaining to the care that is given there.
However, in taking my son to the ER I received more than exceptional service, from the nurses to the doctors.
The truth is many persons visit the ER for medical situations that can easily be taken care of by the community clinics or even at home.
Sometimes it’s a cough or a headache from not sleeping or drinking too much alcohol and the ambulance is called.
The thought is that when one calls the ambulance the service is faster, but in the time that the ambulance takes to come for you, there could be someone who is in desperate need of it more.
We are not a very appreciative society and some of us do not realise that the persons who work in the health care service are indeed human.
With that being said, my heartfelt thank you to nurses Samuel and Dangleben, doctors Bowen and Yearwood, and Mr Richardson of the Orthopaedic Department.
The care that was given to my son by all of you brought tears to my eyes. He was attended to with genuine smiles and encouragement.
My son is indeed grateful to all of you for the care he was given. May your blessings be as the rain that falls from the sky.
