A controversial Carnival song – which campaigners claims advocates rape and violence against women – won’t be banned by the Carnival Development Committee (CDC).

Ban The Song


Women Against Rape (WAR) has taken issue with veteran soca band Onyan and the Burning Flames over this year’s tune entitled Kick Een She Back Doh. The local women’s advocacy group called for the catchy Carnival melody to be banned from the airwaves.

AG: Anti-Buggery Law Here To Stay


While he’s softened his language from a few days ago, Attorney General Justin Simon said yesterday he remains resolute that Antigua & Barbuda will not change its anti-buggery law unless there is a mandate from the electorate.
