Veteran cyclist Robert Marsh and young female national rider Tamiko Butler, both earning nominations from the Antigua & Barbuda Cycling Association (ABCA), walked away with top honours at the National Sports Awards held at the Sandals Grande Resort & Spa on Saturday night.

Antigua & Barbuda’s top female cyclist, Tamiko Butler, left the island Monday for Argentina where she is scheduled to compete in the Pan American Championships slated for March 9 to 11.

The 2011 national cycling season, which ended on Sunday, has been hailed a success by president of the Antigua & Barbuda Amateur Cycling Association, Cliff Williams, who measured the success with the fact that there had been no cancelation of races throughout the sport’s calendar year.
