Jay Marie Chin has been found guilty of the murder of her ex-husband Raymond Chin and the prosecution is seeking the death penalty.

The defence in the Jay Marie Chin murder trial has labelled the prosecution’s case as worrying with massive doubts.

An emotional Jay Marie Chin denied to the court yesterday that she killed her ex-husband, Raymond Chin.

Constable Joseph Reid, the investigating officer who probed the shooting death of Raymond Chin, has admitted that the police made mistakes with its investigations, while at the same time acknowledging that the alleged murder weapon was never found.

Raymond Chin was shot 13 times and died as a result of multiple penetrating lung injuries and liver laceration consequent on multiple gunshot wounds.

During the Chin murder trial that continued yesterday, Carson Matthew, the prosecution’s 14th witness, said Jay Marie Chin displayed no emotions when he spoke to her shortly after her husband was shot almost two years ago.

Raymond Chin’s fiancé Dionne Buckner of Palm Beach, Florida, took the stand yesterday in day two of the murder trial against the deceased man’s ex-wife Jay Marie Chin.

Three of the witnesses who took the stand yesterday for the beginning of the murder trial against Jay Marie Chin testified that on the day of the fatal shooting, they saw no one running from the building after hearing approximately 10 shots ring out from a building on Church Street, as the accused woman allegedly told police.
