A family has been left in mourning following the death of 12-year-old Daniel Simpson in a suspected drowning at the Burma Quarry some time between Monday afternoon and yesterday morning.

Union Gives PWD Ultimatum

Near miss for truck driver


A John Hughes resident is lucky to be alive after problems with the brakes on his truck reportedly caused the vehicle to spin out of control and flip over several times, taking out a fence and barely missing a wooden home in the process.
