The voting may have ended but the election is far from over. And while the elections went on in a quiet, orderly fashion many cities and towns – it was anything but in the capital.

The head of the United Nations Stabilisation Mission to Haiti (MINUSTAH) Edmond Mulet appealed for calm as he asserted that the organisation had made the necessary preparations for the poll.
