LIAT workers who were issued letters of termination will remain on the job as Labour Minister Dr Errol Cort mediates the dispute with regional unions and LIAT management.

Labour Minister Glynis Roberts Wednesday said she is seeking a meeting with officials of the regional airline, LIAT, and the Technical and Allied Workers Union (TAWU) in a bid to bring an end to the industrial dispute that has affected flights in and out of Grenada by the airline.

President of the Leeward Islands’ Airline Pilots Association (LIAPA) Michael Blackburn yesterday backed workers of the regional airline LIAT who have embarked upon industrial action to force the company to meet outstanding monies owed to them since 1983.
