Cabinet has decided to accord former member of parliament and attorney Vere Bird Jr an official funeral.

A “pioneer”, “passionate” and “giving” is how colleagues, friends and family described Vere Cornwall Bird Jr, who died on Easter Sunday at the age of 76.

Superintendent of Her Majesty’s Prison Anthony Hopkins who passed away on February 17 died as a result of acute cardiac failure (heart attack) brought on by severe hypertension.
