Career criminal locked up for six months


A Fort Road man with a two-page conviction record was sentenced to six months in prison.

Victor ‘Sunku’ Clarke pleaded guilty to larceny. Clarke, 54, was spotted on the compound of the Inland Revenue Department on October 18 about 4 pm.

Duo charged in connection with Villa shooting


The two men charged in connection with last week’s shooting on Bay Street, Villa, that left one man at Mount St John’s Medical Centre nursing a gunshot wound to the leg, have been charged and remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison.

Pit Bull owner charged following Bendals attack


Bendals resident Theophilus Joseph was charged, over the weekend, with permitting a ferocious dog to be at large and wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm, following a pit bull attack on a woman and her child last week. He is expected to appear in St John’s Magistrates’ Court today to answer the charges.
