An official on the Barbuda Council has dispelled suggestions that sand mining has been continuing despite a recent Council decision to halt all such operations.

A disaster management plan specifically designed for the St John’s Rural West community will be unveiled on Monday as authorities try to devise ways to cope with flooding caused by heavy rains as well as other emergencies.
