Industrial action by Financial Services Regulatory Commission (FSRC) employees yesterday forced their bosses to finally set a date to discuss new terms relating to contracts and restructuring, among other things.

An August timeline has been set for a report to be handed in by a committee comprising representatives of telecommunications company, LIME, and unions representing its employees across the Caribbean, including the Antigua & Barbuda Workers Union (ABWU).

Sticky Wicket Restaurant has been shut down and its roughly 40 employees severed.

Up to late yesterday there had been no resolution or progress in a pay dispute that resulted in a complete work stoppage by about 100 Antigua-based employees of LIAT.
