Arson has been ruled out as the cause of the June 10 fire that destroyed one of LIAT’s passenger aircraft in a blaze that gutted the regional carrier’s heavy maintenance hangar located behind VC Bird International Airport.

LIAT estimates $35M in insured loses

Regional carrier LIAT said “based on current available information,” it estimates EC $35 million in insured losses from the recent fire at its hangar at VC Bird International Airport.
