An eminent health chief has responded to calls for an urgent care home to be provided for the country’s troubled youngsters – saying the matter must be dealt with “soberly and objectively”.

Attorney General Justin Simon has reportedly been tasked with dealing with some issues at the Boys’ Training School even as some workers called in sick for a second straight day on Friday.

Supervisors at the Boys’ Training School stayed off the job for a second day yesterday following a contentious meeting with Governor General Dame Louise Lake-Tack.

There had been much talk in the community about corporal punishment, and whether or not it should be abolished in schools.

“Those who are way ahead are those who have proactive principals who themselves have some vision and are willing to explore and get out of the box,” said consultant Jean Machel Benn Dubois recently speaking on the UNICEF sponsored Child Friendly Initiative.

During our formative years in Primary School, we were taught a ditty by which we would be able to remember the number of days in each month. This ditty had to be learnt and thoroughly digested.
