Antigua Barracuda FC may have lost their opening contest in the United Soccer League (USL) but they certainly have no reason to hang their heads, as the home-grown squad gave a brave account of themselves, drawing first blood before going down 2-1 to the visiting Los Angeles Blues at the Sticky Wicket Stadium on Sunday night.

Antigua Barracuda FC have failed in their bid to acquire seven of the country’s top national players as they prepare for their debut in the United Soccer League (USL) on April 17.

The Antigua public may not have the opportunity to see the country’s first professional outfit in any of their planned warm-up matches ahead of their United Soccer League (USL) debut slated for April 17 here at Stanford Cricket Grounds.

Antigua Barracuda FC are presently sourcing players from outside the country to fill nine remaining slots on its roster as the country’s first professional football club prepares for their opening United Soccer League (USL) debut against the Los Angeles Blues on April 17 at Sticky Wicket Grounds.
