She is known as the Money Goddess of the dancehall, DJ Macka Diamond has been involved in the music industry for more than two decades. The artiste is known for blazing up the local and international airwaves with songs such as Bun Him, Cowfoot, Tink Mi Easy, Try Wid Him, Hoola Hoop and Mr Teki Back.
With music on her mind most of the time, Macka is extremely busy in the recording studio putting final touches to her album slated to be release in October of this year.
Macka says that her choice in clothing has a lot to do with the events and gigs that she attends.
“My most treasured set of clothing in my closets are the gowns and dresses that I wear to award ceremonies. My fashion style is very unique and original. I usually just work with a style that pops in my head,” she says. Macka credits local designers Uzuri International, Biggy Designs and Carl, another fashion designing extraordinaire located on Spanish Town Road. Also riding high in Macka’s closet are designs by Baby Phat, Louis Vuitton and Arden B.
Like most females, fragrance is very important to the ‘Money Goddess’ with her favourite splashes coming from Dolce and Gabbana, Light Blue and Gucci. A quick glance inside Macka’s closet would reveal numerous shoes most of which are designed by Gucci and Micheal Kors. (Jamaica Observer)
