ST JOHN’S, Antigua – Springhill Riding Stables was invited to compete in Guadeloupe over the recent Easter weekend at Martingale’s Inter-Island Show Jumping Competition.
Sponsored by Caribbean Alliance, Digicel and PricewaterhouseCoopers, three local riders were chosen to represent Antigua & Barbuda in the junior category which tests for speed over an intricate 10-jump course.
The two-day event was challenging and included riders from nine islands, all of whom were expected to compete on horses they had never ridden and with just 15 minutes to warm up.
