Spartans, Blizzards keep the pressure up in ABBA Division 2

St. John’s Antigua- The Antigua & Barbuda Basketball Association (ABBA) Division 2 Competition continued at JSC Sports Complex on Wednesday night and there were wins for Police Spartans and Blizzards.

Playing in the first game of a double-header, Police Spartans completely outplayed Aicasa Leatherbacks, beating them 80-41.

Kobey Henry scored 16 points; Dwayne Samuel had 17 points and 13 rebounds; Craig Davis added 18 points and Dale Gore, 15 points for Spartans.

Jake Matthew shot 16 points, eight rebounds and four steals, and Amar Singh shot 15 points and cleaned the glass three times for Leatherbacks.

In the second game, Blizzards edged Rom Gut G Block, 69-61. Kirwan Peterson had 14 points, nine steals, and five assists; Giga George added 18 points, and Ari Richardson, 23 points, for Blizzards.

Rom Gut G Block’s Kwame Hatton shot 26 points and had five rebounds, while Devon Payne nearly had a triple-double. He produced 13 points, seven assists, and 10 rebounds.
