ST JOHN’S, Antigua – Spanish Heat and Ottos Officials were winners in the Cool & Smooth, Stag Beer ABBA Division 2 Basketball Competition on Monday night at JSC Complex.

In the first game, Spanish Heat hung on to beat Rom Gut G-Block, 62-59, in a real nail-biter.

      Moreno Marie shot 20 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and four steals; Edgar Obispo shot 16 points and had 12 rebounds, while Eddy Josie pulled 16 rebounds for Spanish Heat.

On the losing side, Dave Barton shot 20 points and had nine boards; Devon Payne scored 13 points, and Romel Diggs shot nine points and pulled 16 rebounds.

In the second game, Ottos Officials hammered Potters Night Ballers, 78-39.

      Kevin Roberts shot a game-high 30 points, grabbed eight rebounds and six steals, and added five assists to his overall tally; Fitzroy Francis had 10 points, 10 rebounds and four assists, while Jules Fredericks shot 14 points for Officials.

      Stan Williams shot 12 points and had six rebounds, and he was supported by Atiba Barnes who added 11 points for Night Ballers.
