My grandmother is a pensioner and her social security is usually deposited directly to her bank account. To date, she has yet to receive her monthly pension.

After contacting social security, I was told that they are having some financial difficulty and hopefully everyone should get their monies by Monday.

However, my grandmother has told me that all her friends who have to pick up their cheques have received their pensions.

I have yet to see a press release from social security informing the public of any delays in payment.

I would really like to know what is going on since myself and many other working citizens of Antigua & Barbuda have monies deducted from our salaries every month from the same institution.
