An employee of Sandals Grande Antigua, Byron Isaac is in the running to be considered the absolute best of the resort chain?s 10,000 strong team across the Caribbean.
Sandals Resorts International has announced its first ever Ultimate Team Member Awards to be held at Sandals Grande Ocho Rios in Jamaica, today, a release from the resort said.
This comes on the heels of the Prestige Awards at each resort to laud outstanding performance in a range of awards categories including courtesy, guest nomination, environmental excellence, management and heart of the house recognition as well as Prestige Team Member of the Year.
Prestige Team Member of the Year recipients from St Lucia, Antigua, Turks & Caicos and The Bahamas will join 13 title holders from Jamaica – a total of 20 in all – to hear just who has taken top honours as Sandals Ultimate Team Member for 2008 and walk away with a host of prizes.
?We are so proud of all our team members ? we could not ask for a more amazing team. Our international awards and accolades including World?s Best year on year could only be achieved by having the World?s Best Team. It is their hard work, dedication and commitment to excellence every day of life that keeps guests coming back to our resorts,? Sandals CEO Adam Stewart said.
?The Ultimate Awards are just one part of recognising excellence across the board and showing our appreciation for the most phenomenal, hard working, dedicated and committed individuals you could ever imagine.?
Meanwhile, Isaac expressed his pleasure at being in the short list to win the Ultimate Award.
?I am honoured. If I win the Ultimate Award, I will continue to work hard and be even more motivated in everything I do – which is to contribute to the success of Sandals and Antigua. It is great to wear the Sandals logo – but it is even greater to be a part of its success,? he said.
Commenting on the selection process, Stewart added, ?Choosing one winner is going to be tough because all 20 nominees are stars and all so deserving. At the end of the day we know that whatever the outcome the winner will be an ambassador and role model for us all.?
