Rotary announces Colours Fete

St. John’s Antigua- Rotary Colours Fete will be at Clouds, Halcyon Cove. The annual fete will have as its theme Orient Express.

According to a release from the organisation, “This is one of the  largest fundraising events  in  the  Rotary Club of Antigua calendar and has become the premier Carnival Fete in Antigua & Barbuda.”

The proceeds of this fundraiser, Rotary said, will primarily be for ongoing projects to include Meals on Wheels; school dictionaries and refurbishment and installation of computer laboratories.

“Since 2008 we have installed over 1000 computers and constructed 48 computer labs at government and private schools,” remarked Rotarian Delbert Baptiste, the club’s public relations officer.

In 2011, the Rotary  Club was  able to  donate video-teleconferencing  equipment to  the  Teacher Training program in  the  Ministry  of  Education.

Sponsors of this year’s Colours fete are Premiere Beverages and LIME.

Colours will be held on July 21 from 8pm

Tickets are now on sale at LIME, Townhouse Mega Store and from any member of the Rotary Club of Antigua. The cost  per ticket is  EC$ 150.
