Dear Editor
From all the signs we are seeing, General Elections in 2014 are shaping up to be quite interesting.
We can expect some of the usual rhetoric; a lot of the bombast and some of the empty promises. But amidst it all it is shaping up to be a whopper.
First of all try as he might the opposition leader is in no shape to lead a campaign which will be long and vigorous. The young whippersnappers are rearing and ready to go, while the old fogeys are fuming and just blowing off hot steam.
The ruling party just might have a few surprises up its sleeves for after all it has much to defend. Its best bet is to have a few fresh faces with new ideas.
For my money, it had done enough during its term in office to warrant another bite of the apple. However it has some dirty linen it needs to get laundered, and none too soon.
Either way, I personally can’t wait for the campaign to begin, as one thing you can be sure those will be exciting and interesting days.
