Dear Editor
My son attends a secondary school that I consider to be excellent for the most part. However, there is something going on to which the board is turning a blind eye and which needs investigation.
After paying my hard earned $1,700 plus a term, why do I have to pay an extra $300 per term for the business courses?
I cannot accept the explanation that they cannot fit during the day. I am sure that the timetable could be changed to make some kind of accommodation.
And so, here we have one teacher just minting money from us. The school does not even receive the money and pays her a percentage. Where in the world could this be right?
Month after month she cashes her numerous cheques and if for some reason a poor parent cannot pay the total amount, that student receives a zero.
Mr Principal and the board, what are you doing? People are speaking out more and more. Do not let the school’s reputation fall.
